Description of Astilbe 'Straussenfeder'

Astilbe 'Straussenfeder' is a plume astilbe with soft salmon-pink flowers. You may also see it listed as ostrich feather astilbe, based on the name. It’s a dependable choice for damp shade with a long summer show.

Appearance

It forms clumps of divided foliage, then sends up feathery plumes in summer. Flower stems often reach 60 to 90cm. The plumes sit well above the leaves and keep their shape as they fade.
