Plant Description

The Venus flytrap cultivar Dionaea muscipula 'Harmony' is a distinctive plant with a prostrate growth habit. It lies close to the ground, presenting a neat appearance. Its foliage consists of short, narrow leaf bases that lead to its unique traps.

The traps themselves are oval and curve noticeably along the midrib. They grow up to nearly 4cm long. The most defining feature of 'Harmony' is its marginal lashes. In mature plants, the lashes have swollen ends. These ends resemble small knobs sitting on top of long, narrow spikes. Some of these terminal knobs even form Y or T shapes, which is unusual among Venus flytraps.

The plant's colouration is predominantly a yellowish green. The interior surfaces of the trap lobes can develop a very faint reddish hue. This colouration only appears when the plant receives sufficient direct sunlight. In all other aspects, 'Harmony' aligns with typical Venus flytraps.

Plant photos above are of our Dionaea muscipula 'Harmony' mother plants. Divisions are taken from the mother plants and are planted into 9cm pots to be sold. Division sizes can vary greatly and will always be sent largest first. If you'd like to know the size of a plant before ordering, please feel free to contact us.
