Plant Description
Dionaea muscipula IS BC 43 All Green is a seed-grown clone raised by Ian Salter. It represents a stable all-green form of the species, lacking the red pigmentation often seen inside the traps. This gives the plant a uniform appearance across both leaves and traps, even under strong light.
Traps are well-formed and sit on upright to slightly spreading petioles. The lobes are broad and symmetrical, with fine, evenly spaced marginal teeth. The interior of the trap remains green throughout development, without shifting to red as it matures. This holds true across the growing season, making it easy to distinguish from typical forms.
The overall colour ranges from light green to a brighter yellow-green in strong light. New growth often appears fresh and pale before settling into a more even tone. Older traps may deepen slightly in colour but do not develop contrasting pigmentation.
Growth is steady, with the plant producing multiple traps in succession during the main season. The compact habit allows traps to cluster closely, forming a dense rosette. In good conditions, the plant maintains a clean, consistent look across all growth stages.
