Plant Description

Created by Matthew Soper in 1997, Sarracenia 'Juthatip Soper' is an attractive carnivorous plant with characteristic upright pitchers that are initially soft-pink, delicately veined with wine purple. The hood is broad, wavy and almost vertical, and as the pitchers darken to red-purple, the contrast between the colours becomes more striking.

This Sarracenia has the parentage (Sarracenia leucophylla x Sarracenia purpurea) X Sarracenia leucophylla Pink, which explains its bright colouration. In 2012 it was awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit which makes 'Juthatip Soper' an ideal candidate to thrive in an outdoor bog garden.

Plant photos above are of our Sarracenia 'Juthatip Soper' mother plants. Divisions are taken from the mother plants and are planted into 9cm pots to be sold.
