At first glance, this Sarracenia may be easily confused with Sarracenia leucophylla. It is, however, a stunning hybrid from Japan.

The pitchers transition from green to a snow-white top with a fine red veination running throughout. Sarracenia 'Asuka No. 16' is a great hybrid if you want something a little more 'exotic' without breaking the bank!

Basic Sarracenia Care

Sarracenia 'Asuka No. 16' is easy to care for, given the correct conditions. An unheated greenhouse is an ideal location. Here are the 3 golden rules for healthy Sarracenia pitcher plants.

Keep their pots sat in 1-2cm of rainwater.
Use acidic soil. A 1:1 peat moss & perlite mix is typical.
