Sarracenia flava 'Goldie' originates from seeds sown by Paul Gardener at P & J Plants in the UK. 

The new pitchers start as an unusually bright and stunning yellow colour before they open. 'Goldie' requires a good amount of sun to attain its shade of buttery yellow. Although the colour is brightest in strong light, it can 'burn' later in the season when grown in the greenhouse. To combat this, it's recommended to keep it lightly shaded, which not only prevents burning but also promotes better growth.
