Winter Dormancy

Plants are now just waking up after Winter so may only have young pitchers and/ or flowers - 06/04/25

Plant Description

Cuprea translates from Latin to mean 'copper'. It's easy to see why this name has been given to this variety of Sarracenia flava, the operculum (lids) of the pitchers are blushed with a distinct copper colour.

This lovely clone of Sarracenia flava var. ornata is from the state of North Carolina in the United States.

Plant photos above are of our Sarracenia flava var. cuprea (North Carolina) mother plants. Divisions are taken from the mother plants and are planted into 9cm pots to be sold. Division sizes can vary greatly and will always be sent largest first. If you'd like to know the size of a plant before ordering, please feel free to contact us.
