Sarracenia flava var. rubricorpora 'Roy Lancaster' is a beautiful cultivar selected by carnivorous plant expert Matt Soper. Named in honour of the renowned horticulturist Roy Lancaster, this variety stands out for its vivid colouration and tall, elegant pitchers.

The pitchers reach heights of around 80cm, with deep ruby-red tubes and bold red veining on the lids. The hoods contrast with a yellow background, creating a dramatic visual effect. In spring, it produces bright yellow flowers, adding further ornamental appeal.

Like other Sarracenia flava varieties, 'Roy Lancaster' thrives in a sunny greenhouse, but its robust pitchers also make it a standout in bog gardens or container collections. This Sarracenia flava var. rubricorpora is particularly sought after for its intense colour and impressive stature.
