Description of Sarracenia flava var. rugelii - Very Tall

This is one tall Sarracenia flava var. rugelii! Given time, this plant can reach up to 36" tall making it a very impressive Sarracenia for any collection.

As is typical of the variety, it has the red cut-throat splotch which adds a striking contrast to the lime-green, slender pitchers. Possibly one of the best rugelii around!

Basic Sarracenia Care

Sarracenia flava var. rugelii - Very Tall is easy to care for, given the correct conditions. An unheated greenhouse is an ideal location. Here are the 3 golden rules for healthy Sarracenia pitcher plants.

Provide as much sun as possible.
Keep their pots sat in 1-2cm of rainwater.
Use acidic soil. A 1:1 peat moss & perlite mix is typical.
