Sarracenia leucophylla L3 Giant is an impressive Sarracenia with location genetics from Citronelle, Alabama.

This plant is known for its imposing size, hence the name! Its pitchers can grow to around 90cm tall. The mouth, or opening, of each pitcher often reaches 6cm to 7cm wide. The plant's tall, slender form creates a strong visual presence. The pitchers are a fresh green colour, transitioning to white at the top. A network of deep red veins covers this light background.

While many pitcher plants put on the most growth in spring and summer, this plant and other Sarracenia leucophylla are a bit different. It produces the majority of its best pitchers in the late summer and autumn. This makes it a standout plant in the greenhouse as other species' growth begins to slow.
