Description of Sarracenia × moorei OBH26 (× moorei Norman Parker X 'Leah Wilkerson')

Sarracenia × moorei OBH26 comes from a cross made by Oliver Bres of Sarracenia Addiction in France. He paired a large red-form Sarracenia × moorei (Norman Parker) with the well-known Sarracenia × moorei 'Leah Wilkerson'. A standout offspring of the crossing had a clean white top and a defined throat.

The plant shows a tall, steady growth pattern through the season. Pitchers form wide at the base, move into a narrow waist, then flare at the mouth. The lid sits broad and slightly lifted, giving plenty of light into the tube. Late summer growth often shows its best colour. The upper part turns white, while the throat holds a deep red mark that settles into a clear cut-throat look. You get a stunning contrast when the sun hits the lid.

The influence of 'Leah Wilkerson' shows in the height and in the broad lid. The Norman Parker × moorei parent adds a heavier red flush inside the tube. When grown in full sun, OBH26 keeps the white top clean and the throat bold.
